NCD (New Camper Day) Crusader 315RST
Yahooooo......
.......picked up our new Crusader today. Thanks to Dave's RV in Claremore, OK for making it such a smooth process.
This is our first 5'er. My truck pulled the trailer with ease and handled the pin weight pretty good too. 11.6 mpg's.
Beautiful trailer and my DW and I really like it. Only a couple of small fit and finish issues that they corrected during our PDI. Everything worked as it should. I really like the auto leveling system.
We'll be camping Labor Day weekend.....if not before.
Really hated seeing the LaCrosse go. Six years worth of good memories in that camper. All I can say is, someone will end up with a great used trailer for probably much less than it's worth.
Here's the pics.......

Very nice sir! We have a 2015 315 and love it. Our exterior is the older darker color, I really like your exterior color. Congrats and happy camping!

Welcome to the Crusader family !
We have a 2014 Touring Edition 325RES - it is the original darker version too but we have had zero issues since day one 😊
We had slide toppers added to ours by dealer as well as Maxxair covers

Thanks Houstinkid & heavynlori
We really like this trailer. Nothing against any other brand, but I think PT does a great job. It is nice and well built. Loved our LaCrosse, but I think this one will help us get over the loss.
We also like the exterior color. I think it goes well with the truck.
I had them throw in the Maxx Airs in the deal. May think about slide toppers down the road some time. That will eliminate me having to climb on top and sweeping the leaves and such off at the end of each camping trip.
Here at home it's under the RV port, so the only thing I have to worry about on top of the slides is dust......if I leave the slides out very long.
I'm glad I had the foresight to have one built bigger than I needed at the time. 18'W x 41'L x 12' side height......approx. 15' center height.
This trailer tucks in nicely and I have plenty of room to open the slides on both sides. Also had electric hook up put in with 50amp, 30 amp & 20 amp plug ins, so I can plug in and run everything.

Congrats from GA. We picked ours up about a month ago. You're right about the pull, very well done. All systems are operating except the thermostat keeps throwing E1 diagnostic codes. We think we know what that's about and will get it knocked out in a week or so. Outside of the Sanibel 39xxRES models, this is the most livable we have seen for years. Enjoy your new camper and let the tinkering begin.

Jlreeves....PM me on your A/C codes. I may be able to shed some light on a solution.

Thanks Jlreeves and it looks like rracer5 will be able to help you with your AC problem.
We plugged ours in here at the house when we got home and have been running the two AC's ever since. So far, it's working perfect.
We have driveway camped the past two nights. Watched a DVD last night.....Robbin Williams in the movie RV.......
ahhhhhhhh.....the tinkering has already begun.

We picked ours up this past Friday, also. Love it! The only real issue (so far) is the damned E1 error on the thermostat. When we first plugged it in, it worked fine. I then unplugged to hook up an watt/amp meter to test power draw. Plugged it back in and had the E1. I had to do the complete power disconnect (ac and dc) for 20 minutes, before it would resynch. That thermostat newds a good redesign. If you look online at all of the E1 problems, it is terrible.
Other than that, it tows well, it handles nicely, the layout is perfect, etc. Yes, I will need to update my signature and rig info.
Enjoy!

Congrats ben31
Glad to hear all went well for you too.
I think we both have ended up with a couple of very nice and well built PT Crusaders.
Post up some pics when you get a chance.

E1 code
Jlreeves did you find out what was causing the E1 code. I have a 2016 with the same problem.
Have two units and can only run one at a time.

Chunker, I answered your PM. The only difference is, when I got the E1 code, it completely shut down both A/C's.

Our E1 appears to be isolated to Z1. If we turn it off, no errors for days. Turn it on, 2 hours until E1 reappears. Isolates it to control cable to that unit.

It does shut down both but in our case as long as Z2 is set to off we don't get the E1.

Just saw typo. Z1 should read Z2.
