The 4 point sway comes from where it connects to the hitch. It is different. Was not trying anything on you, was just giving you my experience and trying to help you have the best tow experience possible.
I am pretty sure your Reese system should work on your trailer with little to no problems.
Here are some prices I found for you on the hitches. Not sure what your dealer told you but they may be taking you for a "ride".
for the Equalizer: Equal-i-Zer Weight Distribution Equalizer Hitch 12000# - $419.99
for the Reese: Reese SC Trunnion Weight Distribution Hitch 1,200# - $409.99
Only a $10 difference here. Again I am only sharing the facts here and want the best for you as a TT owner. Your WDH can make all the difference in the world when towing. Our money is precious to us all and hard to spend, so when we spend it, I want the best deal and the best product.
Enjoy your research and let me know what you decide on. Good luck and happy camping.
