New Ford Super Duty cool feature

So I hooked up to my trailer today with my new super duty. If you have the lcd info screne on the dash it has a trailer scren. You can set it up for each trailer you pull. It remembers your brake setting, it has a pre trip check off you can go thru before you hit the road. Pretty darn cool.

Do you have the 5th wheel prep package? I have not seen this on my LCD screen - but I have not looked. Now I will have to look. They are good reminders.

no fifth wheel prep package. it doesn't show up until you plug in your power cord from your trailer. then I think it is under the "truck apps" or "truck settings" deal on the lcd. and you set it up from there. the pre trip check list has like 6-7 different things it asks you. It is based on weather or not you are hooking to a 5th wheel or bumper pull. Pretty neat little bonus I had no idea was there. It also keeps track of total miles each trailer is pulled.. Pretty cool when your keeping up with wheel bearings and tire wear..

Got a little weekend trip planned this weekend. Will be my first pull with the new truck since I bought it tow weeks ago. Maybe 400 miles round trip, can't wait to see how it does. I did pull my flatbed and tractor the other day (only about 6000 lbs but it seems pretty stout..more so than my old 07 Duramax with a 100 hp programer..

My 2011 F-150 EB has the same thing. First we go through the trailer readiness checklist I printed off of the internet. (btw - I laminated it so we don't actually check the items off.) Once we think we are done, I get in the driver's seat and read off the display checklist while the DH walks around and verifies that we are ready to go!
