new Lane hide-away-bed-sofa, question on the cushions

2014 tracer 2670. took home yesterday. has the leather hide away sofa bed from lane... I have question on the two cushions.. both cushions have Velcro and unfold to about 5 feet long... any idea what this is for? the sofa has a mattress already that pulls out so im assuming this isn't a mattress that these cushions fold out too.... the salesman and the svc tech both had no idea either what this was for....any ideas? they Velcro and unfold three times, and unfold to a length of about 4-5 feet... thank you..

We have a 2013 295RST Crusader with the same deal. No idea either, first trip out the wife and I saw the same thing and only scratched our head. I would like to know also.

It's just the way it is designed. The Velcro serves no purpose other than keeping the cushions in place. We wondered as well. I believe Rv guy answered this one before.

Does anyone know if the new lane sofas are the same size as the old ones. I would be interested in switching mine out if so.

Stick the two together and use as a kid's mattress on the floor.....

We also scratched our head on this one, but determined they were just for the cushions themselves. We usually just stick the cushions behind the chairs in our dinette when our DD is with us and she sleeps on the pull out.

As an aside we LOVE the Lane furniture, the quality is outstanding.
