No power to slides on a 2013 Lacrosse 318BHS

I just pulled my rig out of storage for the winter and I am not getting any power to the slides. All the other power is working, I have checked the fuses and breakers in the box and cannot find any issues. When I hit both switches for the slides there is no noise or movement at all. Anyone have ideas for troubleshooting?

did you check to make sure you have power up to the switch? get a helper and a test light while helper is pushing on the slide switch use your test light at the motor and touch the pos side of the motor. should light up if not either the switch is bad or animal chewed through your wiring and you will have to track it down. otherwise if it does light up check your ground at the motor make sure its ground well, otherwise it may be a bad motor. have your tried to jump the motor directly? take some jumper cables and connect the pos to the pos side of motor and the other to the battery should get something running. Also it could be your solenoid wiring that controls the in and out of the slide out hydraulics wire may be loose look there

Make sure your battery disconnect is not engaged or dead battery.

We really need more details like, what kind of slide mechanism are they, electric, hydraulic or Schwintek?

They are electric mechanisms. I changed tried a new battery and it did not solve the issue. I have checked all the fuses in the panel inside and they were all fine. Both slides are completely dead. I am going to check the motors today to see if they are getting power, if not I guess I will drop the bottom covering and start tracing wires to see if there was a break. I had a similar issue last year when I pulled it out of storage but it was only one slide, the TV dealer said a wire had pinched on the frame and they reran it and it worked all summer with no issue. I am pretty frustrated that for the second year in a row the trailer has a slide issue coming out of storage.

If it has been in storage and comes out with electrical problems, the first thing I would look for is mice. Little monsters love to chew on wires and can cause no end of problems.

Check the ground wires.

Somewhere in the lippert manual it says most common electrical problem on the slides is the ground.

That was the case for me.

I had the same issue last year. A wire came loose from the connector that was attached to my battery disconnect (I installed). Stripped the end of the wire, attached it back to the post, and it worked fine.

I had the same issue on my Tracer Air. The slides have their own ground on the frame near the junction box where the trailer hookup comes in. Remove access panel and check it. They attach the ground with a small self tapper that came out. Bigger self tapper fixed the problem immediately.

Ummm locate the positive battery cable and follow it to a resetable circuit breaker.
The slides don't run through the battery disconnect or the distribution center fuses

The slide ground goes to the battery (at least it does on my 2012 3150). See my previous posts with the same issue... http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ad.php?t=58069

sfrye5853- Thanks I just realized I never replied to this. You were right in a hurry to reinstall the battery I hooked the red/black wire for the slides to the positive terminal with the rest and it worked great. appreciate the help.
