Ordering from PTM

Wondering what the timeline is from order placed to ship from factory. We love the crusaders and have found the perfect floor plan and options, unfortunately the trailer sold before we could get to dealer. Now its just a matter of getting it ordered. Champagne 295RST , auto levellers, touring, power package, fireplace, leather etc.
Calgary's leading dealer for Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, and Fifth Wheels

Thanks
Paul

I'm wondering the same. We will order the first week of April (I wish I could order sooner). Looking to order a Lacrosse 319QBS. One dealer says 608 weeks another says 8-12 weeks.

I'm wondering if the 8-12 week dealer is trying to just the sale sooner.

Paul,

Welcome to the forum! You will LOVE your new Crusader with the the Champagne & Touring packages!

RVGuy is a rep from PTM and frequents this forum. I am sure he'll be able to tell you their current build times.

For us ... we placed our order 10/29 and it was to our dealer in Tucson within 6 weeks. From what I understand it's usually 6 - 8 weeks to build and 1 - 2 weeks for delivery to the dealer. The delivery time is completely dependant on what transport company your dealer uses and there availability to haul it.

If there's anything you need to know this is the right place to find out. A lot of great folks here with a ton of knowledge.

FWIW, orders placed now would be 2014 title as they usually make the changeover sometime in March. I'm assuming that orders placed now would also be subject to any price changes coinciding with the model year change.

8 weeks is a good average to get it built during this time of year. What the second dealer is allowing for is delays in transportation that MIGHT exist during that time of the year. 12 weeks is a little extreme but not unheard of.

I have found a few on lots, the problem is I want to support my local dealership in the event I need warranty work. I have 2 PT dealers within 1 1/2hrs of my house. I read lots of horror stories online about warranty problems.

Keep in mind that the Touring Edition is a limited production run.

If you wait too much longer to order, you won't get the TE.

I was quoted end of February as cut off for TE orders...

Well did the deal, 2014 295rst touring ed, champagne, auto levellers, lane leather, 50 amp etc. Should be shipping from the factory within the week according to dealer (RV guy - any on the line for BC Canada?). I was lucky enough to call a dealer and they already had an order in for exactly what I wanted-hows that for timing. Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll be back with questions.

Our 295RST was ordered just after the RV show in the Toronto area. We think the order was placed around Jan 28. From what we have been told our unit should be off the production line on March 14.

We don't know the timeline on getting it hot shotted from the factory to our dealer (Hamilton, Ontario), but I suspect up to 2 weeks.

RV guy, are you able to give us any more accurate timelines?

Transportation is always difficult to predict because these companies are basically sub-contractors. Canadian deliveries in particular are difficult to predict because there are not a lot of drivers willing to put up with the border crossing issues.

2 weeks is probably optimistic - I'd guess 3 to 4.

Irish - Your unit should be coming off the middle of this month, also. A delivery to BC will most likely be in the 4 week range. I'd expect it sometime Mid April.

cthomas - have you checked with your dealer?

If not, send an email to our sales group on our web site at Prime Time Manufacturing, Manufacturers of travel trailers and fifth wheels

We will try to identify the specifics on your unit for you.
