Outdoor kitchen door leaking

I have noticed that I have water stains in the plastic channel on the outdoor kitchen door. The stains are in the left hand lower corner and the metal latches in the frame are rusty. It looks like water builds up enough and rolls over the channel and into the TT. I store the camper with the front raised on a slight hill. The left corner appears to be out of square a little bit compared to the right corner when closed even when level.

How can I tighten this door to stop leakage?

Mine too is doing the same, I took the hinges off the other day and checked the gaskets everything looked good, so I put a little silicone on the gaskets thinking that might help the problem. I checked the other day and still getting a little water on the outside edge but nothing is getting inside the outdoor kitchen.

Hey Dandy - I had a Tracer 3150 with the outside kitchen, and now a Crusader 335BHS (also w/ the outside kitchen), they both have the same kind of issue you're talking about: some water will get into the lower channel under the door and into the latch for the door. I never had water get into the camper though - the seal always stopped the water, but the latch did end up corroded from water on our Tracer. There's a recent thread about the outside kitchen doors here - link - might want to read through that....

Good luck, and Cheers!

I see that the 2014's now have a drip edge over the kitchen door. I believe that will help with this problem. This is another example of how PT does take our input from this forum. I suggested this after seeing it on other manufacturers outside kitchen models. I wonder how hard it would be to install. I wonder if PT would let us order one from them????? I would be interested.

FYI - We have run some protos with different applications in the hopes that we continue to improve our product but we are NOT putting any type of drip edges over the outdoor kitchen as standard equipment on 2014 models.

Sorry, I thought I saw one on a picture of a 2014 318bhs that a local dealer had on their lot. I hate to give out bad info. I looked at it again.....while it is not a drip edge, something appears to stick out farther than on my 318 and looks like it would do a better job rerouting rain water that runs down the side of the trailer.
