Outdoor TV Mount

I recently purchased a Prime Time Tracer 3150BHD. We absolutely love it, it's quite a learning curve, especially for our first RV.

The unit has a place for an outdoor TV, located between the 2 entrance doors. However I have no clue where to find a mount that a TV can attach to that would fit this pre-mounted piece?

Any ideas?

We actually got a mount with our new 318BHS, found it amongst a stack of paperwork. If you didn't get one you may want to contact Primetime and see if the send you one.

FYI - the TV in the 3150 is removable and designed to be taken outside to be hooked up. The bracket already on the TV is the mate to the outside bracket.

The 3150 TV also rotates to the bedroom, so there is no provision in the bedroom for an additonal TV. On the 318 for Hondo, the TV can not be used in the bedroom (doesn't rotate), so we installed an additional TV mounting bracket. That is why you got the extra mounting plate.

If you want an additional mounting bracket, contact Roger in our customer service department at rstickel@forestriverinc.com Depending on shipping, they are normally about $30.

Hope this helps.

How do you remove the tv inside. Did not seem intuitive? Also, can a mount that will fit the exterior mount be purchased at a wal mart?

I doubt you could purchase it at Walmart. To remove the TV your should just have to slide it upward. If it's the same as most FR RV's

Just unplug the TV and slide the unit straight upward.
The mount can't be purchased at Walmart but it can be purchased directly from Prime Time Manf. for about 15-20 I believe.
Totally worth it

Thanks! I will try again to slide the interior tv up and remove the indoor tv but I tried that on the dealer lot and because it is mounted inside a wood box (the frame that allows it to spin 360 degrees) it didn't seem like there was much space to move it upward. Hard to believe that the mounts for a second tv are only available from prime time?

Before you go out and order the TV side of the mount, look around your RV. I was going to purchase that mount when my DW asked me why? She told me I already have one. Sure enough, it was under the bed with other odd pieces of things that came with the TT. If I can't figure something out, ask the wife!

Ok all. I tried to slide the indoor tv out and fightingirish45 was right on. It slides right up and out. The bracket behind the indoor tv is exactly the same as the v-shaped bracket that comes with the tracer and is attached to the outside of the 3150. So the nice thing is that the indoor tv can be quickly removed and placed outside. I'm still waiting for FR to call me back and sell me a mount that i can attach to the back of a second tv so I don't have to remove the indoor one but at least I got that much figured out.

When you contact Prime Time for the mount for the rear of the Tv you want to mount outside, you will have to provide them the VESA pattern (bolt pattern) on the back of the Tv for the mount. The VESA pattern is in millimeters and can be 100 X 100 mm, 100 X 200mm, 200 X 200 mm for example. So, 25.4 mm =1", a VESA of 100 X 100 mm would be approx. 3.94" X 3.94".

Hope this helps.
