We just finalized the deal on our Crusader 320RLT Fifth wheel over the weekend. Since my last 5th wheel didn't have it I am in love with the power awning. Question though, in our other fifth wheel when it came time to cleaning my husband could disconnect it so it laid down almost straight to clean the outside (upper part)...can't do this with the power awning. Any tricks you may have that I can pass onto him? We are going to be traveling but also be staying at a seasonal in Upper Black Eddy PA so the awning is going to be getting lots of use come the spring.
Whenever I need to use a brush to scrub some stubborn stains I use my step ladder and let the awning out about 3 feet at a time. That way I'm not trying to reach across the entire length of the awning to clean the area close to the tt.
The electric awning makes it easy to do it this way.
What I do is to first extend fully and put on whatever cleaning solution you are using. Roll it back up and let it sit closed for 10 minutes. Then clean as described above.
