Power tounge jack for Lacrosse 318bhs

Hello all. I was looking to upgrade my hand crank jack to one of those fancy powered ones. Just curious to which size I would need. I don't know if could get away with a 3000 pound one or do I have to get larger capacity one. Thanks all in advance.

3 months till camping season.

You won't go wrong with the 3500 pound one. Now if you mean diameter, you'll just have to measure and see.

When I hook yup my trailer, I set the tongue down on the ball, latch it. Then pick up the truck and the trailer to connect the weight distribution bars. Usually connect the chains and bars just by hand, no cheater pole required. Then let it all down again. I recommend 3500 pound jack if you connect this way, the easy way. Do the opposite to unhook.

I'd get the 3500 pound, generally not that much difference in price. I also use mine in hooking up, sure makes it easier.

I believe that my Touring Edition from last year came with a 4000 pounder.....I would not own an Equalizer without it. As others have stated, drop it, latch it, lift it again, put the bars on, drop it and go....Saves alot of time and energy.

And broken toes when trying to "unload" the WD bars without taking the weight off first.

Yup, I knew what you meant Dave. I was covering the unhooking part when you got to the CG or back home. Raise it up before unhooking the WD bars.
