That's great. Keep us informed on how things are going on the trips.
Also, if you can, let us know about the new ideas. It just might give us some ideas for a few new mods.

Of course if you need someone to do some real world testing.......
.......I'm just sayin'.

Oven

I sure hope my new oven bakes cinamon rolls "perfect". The trade-in's oven burns everything on the bottom since the flame is so close. I just don't use it.

Try starting a new thread asking about RV oven cooking tricks.
I'm sure there are some FRF members with some great ideas.

Jeannie - to be honest the "perfect" ones were the second batch after I moved the oven rack up a notch.

The first batch were . . . uh . . . not so perfect .

Tested the new oven

Well, we did take delivery of our 318BHS and tried out the oven with cornbread. Burnt on one side. Second pan of cornbread we pushed over to the far side and kept rotating it every few minutes. Perfect. Then, I just found a thread where someone asked if everyone really used their ovens and people posted the most brilliant idea of putting in one of those pizza stones on the metal cover over the flame (between the metal "shelf" and the rack) and they have had great success. I happen to have an unused stone I purchased many years ago so I think it has found a new home!

Thanks everyone!!

BTW - I was freaked out with happiness when I saw how you light the stove now!! Well done! OMG, and the fact that the hot water heater is a flip of a switch and can be either propane or electric - be still my heart!
