Virginia does not allow triples as well a lot of other states. When you look up the laws the combined length is the limiting factor and it applies only to the trailers not the TV. Which is the mistake most people make when reading the tables and the laws, they add the TV and TT together to get the combined length but that is not how it works, combined length is Tandem combine length, and Virginia is 65 feet, with neither individual trailer over 45 feet..

None of the east coast states with a couple of exceptions allow you to pull two trailers. Some call it double towing some call it triple towing . I can assure you in Virginia towing two trailers will earn you a ticket real quickly & you may be required by the trooper to leave one of them behind. It does not matter what state tags you have.

Also overall length is from the front bumper (plus extensions) of the tow vehicle to the rear bumper of the trailer.

I highly recommend these to anyone trying to find an alternate to the toy hauler. We have pulled it about 2500 miles through varied terrain and have not had a single issue.

Installation really is easy for any welder or trailer shop. I would recommend the rear view camera just to keep an eye on it.

Currently have about 800lbs in tools and equipment on mine no problem. We are full timers but travel A LOT and boondock whenever we can. Anyplace we can get the Silverback the swivel wheel goes no problem. We are hunters and keep a freezer with our game meat in it on there also and use a small Honda generator when we are boondocking. The swivel wheel makes a great place for the generator and freezer.
You are 39 ft long correct, what's is total length with ur tow vehicle?

Does anyone here have a swivel wheel trailer? I have a used 58DW dual wheel and problems which the wheel "chattering" - moving back and forth.

I'm checking the tire specs since it is used and cant be sure. the MFG states 5.70 x 8" D Rated 6 ply highway speed.

Also, there seems to be an adjustable stop-screw underneath which screws toward the top.

I am towing a heavy (guessing 1000 lbs) Golf cart with 6 batteries. Suspect I may have issues with a bearing but cannot be sure. Any insights and thoughts appreciated. I'm in Austin Texas - are there any dealers near here?

Lastly, what backup cams are folks using?

Regards

Shayne

I designed and built my own and didn't have a problem with chattering.

The chattering could be a "caster" alignment issue? Is only one wheel doing it or both?

Have a 1000# payload rated Swivel Wheel, have carried about 800" 4000 miles, no problem. Keep speed to 65.

I use the same 58DW. Not had the issue you are having. Definitely sounds like bearing, wheel, or I bet, just a bad tire (look for twisted belts making the tire look odd).

The stop screw is to cut down on the wheel moving too quickly from side to side. But if you are having the issues you are, tightening that is only a bandaid. You need to find the real culprit.

I use RVS-770613-213 | One Camera Rear View System with Quick Connect/Disconnect Kit | backup camera system | Rear View Safety

Had for the past couple years. Back then, the remote units were sketchy at best. Advancements in the last couple years seems to have made those units much better for reliable images.

This unit always works though. Just have to run some wiring.

Double hitch all over. 29 foot 5th wheel 19 foot boat. Takes lots of planning and gas stations are the biggest problem as am70 feet long. Friend uses a lift to haul his Harley on the back of his fifth wheel but ended up adding a third axle to his trailer. Sure it really tail loads the trailer. Looked into toy haulers but they are a sacrifice over a regular fifth wheel unless yo u get a huge one which also means a one ton dually.

Just joined! Wanting one of these to haul the golf cart. Live in OHIO,GO BUCKS, most of our camping is east coast. Has anyone found anything new and exciting to share. Personally don’t think I’ll have any issues hauling it with the dual receivers. I own a 2010 Cardinal 3450rl. Please commit with any news.
Thanks,
Roc
