question for crusader 295RST owners

The plastic fender skirt on the kitchen slide does not meet the trim on the trailer side wall when the slide is closed. It sticks out more then an inch. RV Guy said this is cosmetic only and will not affect the slide seal. Are all 295rst trailers this way? If so is there anything that can be done to make this look less obvious?

Mine is that way. Figure it acts as a cooling intake for the breaks. Kidding. Doesn't bother me. Leaving it as is.

Ours also looks like this.
It is the one cosmetic thing that was not well thought out on these Crusader 5ers IMO.
