Question for Tracer Air Owners

We recently purchased a new 2015 Tracer 250 Air. While we are very happy with the tt overall, we do have an issue with the range top. The 250 Air has a very deep counter top that extends maybe 18" beyond the range top. There is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap between the range top and the counter along the back side of the unit. This gap is large enough for silverware, food, trash, etc to fall into and behind the stove. This is our third camper and neither of the first two had any gap between the range and the counter. We have been told by a Prime Time customer service rep that this is common among all of their lines. If you have a Prime Time camper and especially a Tracer line, do you have a gap like this? By the way, the gap is not straight and somewhat jagged. Looks horrible! Even the dealer said it shouldn't be there.

My Crusader 296BHS has that gap as well. The dealer told me they all have it. I've seen others post on the forum as well about the gap, so it seems to be a PT thing. Not sure why they think this is ok.

Thanks for the reply! It is such a shame to have good fit and finish everywhere else and then this sore thumb. While I'm sure that I can fabricate a piece of trim that will look factory.....I shouldn't have to, that is what we pay PT for.

Our old 2011 Lacrosse 303 RKS had a nicely finished (matched the cabinets) trim board between the stove and the back wall (granted, not 18", only about 4"). And, I just checked our 2014 Sanibel 3250 and the gap is there but, only about a half inch or less. I know the Sanibels have the larger ovens & don't know if that makes the cook top bigger also so, maybe they are cutting all their counter tops for the larger stove?

We have a Tracer 230 FBS and have that gap. It worked out perfectly for me..... I made a cover for the stove. Plywood with a wood edge/lip that kept the plywood from contacting the top of the burners. On the back side where the gap is, I made the edge deeper so that it would drop into this slot. Could not work out better, as the top now cannot move in any direction. I also put a piece of Formica on top of the plywood, so now I also have extra counter top when not using the stove. Turned out to be a great mod and would not have been possible w/o that gap!

Take a lemon and make some lemonade!!!!!

By the way we also own a 250. If you have any questions let me know. I have been through it with a fine tooth comb! Yes I'm OCD like that.

I have a 2013 Tracer 240 AIR and there is no gap. I'm surprised it looks like someone didn't calculate correctly when cutting the counter.

We have a 2015 tracer 230 fbs. Ours has a nicely finished trim board between the stove and the back wall. Same colour as the cabinets.

Because you can't see it right away. I didn't notice mine until sitting on the couch and getting the perfect angle.

I have a 2014 Tracer 250 Air, and I made the dealer put a piece of wood the same color as the cabinets to cover the gap.
