Questions 290 RLT Crusader

1. REad the thread about stowing rockers. Went to look for the straps behing the couch. Found three. Only one was attached to the hook on the floor. Tried to reach down to hook another one on but couldn't get hand behind couch. Couldn't get strap under couch. Tried to take out draw for access but couldn't remove drawer. Any suggestions?

2. In the bedroom - sign on the wall says mount TV here. Do we need to get a mount from Prime time or will anyone do? Does this mean that the wall is stronger to support TV? Who has mounted a tv and what size? What kind of mount did you use? We would like to be able to remove the tv easily to use in the storage area for outdoor watching football.

Thanks

1 - Move the couch out so you can reach the hook. The couch shouldn't be attached to the floor and should be free standing. Or, open it into the bed position and you should be able to see the floor under the couch at the head of the bed.

2 - If there is a sign on the wall then that is where Prime Time installed the extra reinforcement to attach the wall bracket. I'm kinda suprised that the bracket wasn't already installed for you. Was there any packages in the TT with any extra hardware? If not, check with your dealer or contact Prime Time directly and I'm sure they will get one to you. If you know what Tv you're going to mount in the bedroom? You will have to tell them the VESA bolt pattern on the back so that they send you the matching Tv bracket to go with the wall mount (ie; VESA = 100mm X 100mm or 100mm X 200mm or 75mm X 100mm etc.) If the Tv documentation doesn't mention what size it is, 25.4mm = 1".

Hope this helps and have fun.

The couch is mounted to the floor. We dropped our tv remote back there once and it was a pita to get out. Any kids with small hands arms? LOL!!

Can't help you with the tv mount. Above our dresser is a 110 outlet and tv cable in the ceiling. Didn't have a sticker or sign that said I can mount a wall hanger so we just put the tv on top the dresser and stow it on the bed when traveling.

1) We started securing the sofas in place as we found that they too often moved in transit and would sometimes damage the trailer interior. Good feedback on needing easier access to the area behind the sofa at times.

2) There is a large piece of plywood secured to the backside of the panel where the sticker is located that will allow for a large variety of tv mount installations.

RV Guy,
Any idea if the 320 has that also? I didn't have a sticker but I do have an outlet and tv jack in the ceiling above where a tv could mount.

No, the 320 has a countertop directly below the outlets. The thinking there was that the TV would sit on the countertop sufficiently. You definitely DO NOT have any backer in that area to secure a wall mount TV.

Does the drawer in the couch come out? We have tried but wondered if we were just doing it wrong. Not only can't we hook another strap we can't get the strap under the couch. We tried to reach with the couch open but still not enough room and we would go through the covering on the bed if we put any weight on it. Looks like we will fall back on our previous routine for stowing the rocker.

Others said that the TV mount is supplied. I understand from what you said that any mount will be Ok and that it is not provided by Prime Time. If it is just plywood reinforcement then there are no holes to hit - right?

Yes - it comes out.

Please do this for me. Contact our Customer Service on this link:

Prime Time Manufacturing, Manufacturers of travel trailers and fifth wheels

Let them walk you thru the issues and help. Obviously, I want to help, but you will get much better and faster responses from our professional troubleshooters. They will be in the loop on your issues before you even contact them.

On the Crusader, the TV mount is NOT supplied. On our TTs we do, because there are extremely limited ways to mount a TV in many of our bedroom applications so our customers are, for lack of a better term, "forced" into our supplied application. The FWs have a much larger range of applications available to the customers so we don't "force" you into a certain type of mounting application.

Solid plywood, no holes.

Hope this helps.
