Cool Repacking wheel bearings

How many kl should you put on your 5th wheel before repacking the bearings?

Probably should check em as soon as you get it. Several trailers have made it out of the factory with very little grease.
After that, probably once a year unless you suspect an issue.

Once a year, mileage, is not really a determining factor to me.

A friend of mine operates his own mobile RV repair business and has for 25 years. He tells me to repack the wheel bearings every other year or 10,000 miles. Which ever comes first. He also says on a brand new RV to repack the bearings at 7,000 miles the first time. He says from his experience the manufacturer does not use a lot of grease so it is best to repack early the first time. I watched him do mine at 7,000 miles and there seemed to be a lot of grease on the bearings.

Hmm, I hadn't thought of doing mine this year, but perhaps it is a good idea. Since we put quite a few miles on it with our trip to the Florida Keys this past Dec.
