I put Goodyear UniSteel on my Crusader. Best tire made but pricey. I did not want to deal with tire failures on a trip with the Tow Max. The tire dealer gave me $30 each for the Tow Max which is what he said he paid for them. He also recommended the Transforce which are less expensive but I chose to go with the best there was. Have well over 1k miles on them and they look like new. They are rated to max PSI of 110 so check your rims to be sure they can handle it. I did and mine were stamped 110. Also be sure to get the metal high pressure valve stems - not the rubber - if you plan to run TPMS on them.

x2 johnruff. After Blowmax set and a GY Marabomb set I now tow without worry with the G614s. Also bought TPMS system with the tires.

No that's wrong I just put 6 Maxxis 8008s for $157.00 each from a dealer where we live but they can be gotten on Tire direct.com same price choose a installer in your area and your good to go. I did have an issue with one tire don't know what happened got one from Tire direct had it shipped to an free shipping to an installer in Gettysburg had it put on no problems the rest of the way Philly to Niagra Falls and then over the Cleveland Ohio then back to IL. Took the tire that was bad back with me the place back home reimbursed us $157.00 for the tire replaced. All in all I'm happy with the Maxxis 8008s. To me there are a lot of things that go into no having blow outs in summer driving.

You will also notice that with the Goodyear Unisteel tires, the air will stay in them. I check them at every stop and they never needed more air. This is not the case with Tow Max and the others,

When you order from Tires direct can you find out ahead of time how old the tires are before they ship? I can't find a dealer near me that has the Maxxis.

I run Maxxis 8008, same size as yours. They were new March 2015 and I've now towed them 12,800 miles and they still look like new. I had them balanced at Discount Tire and Discount stocks them at their warehouse. It usually takes about a week for them to bring them local to you.

Have you looked on etrailer.com?

I have had good luck with them for all sorts of parts, tires, rims, brake parts, etc.
Any order over $99.00 is free shipping.
I know I sound like an advertisement for them but you really can't beat the deals anywhere

Put on Goodyear Marathons last year. Put 16000km (10000miles) on last year. Tough tow and a lot of gravel road with no issues! Carry maximum 80PSI all the time , check pressure before every major trip and once a week thereafter. Our trailer weighs 9500lbs ready for the road.

I got m8008 maxxis on my crusader 1 month ago with a May 2016 manufacture stamp. Very happy with them. For your bigger trailer the sailun s637 g rated tire would be a good choice.
