Is it unusual that the tires are 2-ply and not heavier duty?

OK - that was wrong. The tires are 5 ply and rated 'D' load rating. I guess I'll see what Liberty RV has to say about this. Seems like it should be warranty covered.

Good luck on the tire warranty. I had 3 out of 4 orig tires blow out in less than 3000 miles. 1st was less than 1000. 4th tire was about to blow when I replaced it. Could get no reply from forest river and no contact info for tires and dealer said there was no way to tell it wasn't road hazard damage. Hope you have better results.

Sounds like a rough trip, at least there were no injuries!

Keep that picture of the camper jacked up handy. Every times someone asks if a trailer aid will lift their camper to change their tire, show them that.

We bought our camper in March blew a tire first of July the same year. FR sent a check for the replacement. Didn't want a tire replaced all 6 10 ply with 12 ply

I would buy new tires. They wouldn't replace mine. I did want the same tire anyways. The tires are junk and will blow out and mess the trailer up.

I got told today by my dealer that there is no recourse on tires. Who should I talk to?

Sounds like your dealer got the same memo as mine. Sorry.

Mike - Tire blowouts do have a procedure to follow that often will allow for a resolution IF YOU STILL HAVE THE TIRE. If you do, contact Roger in our Prime Time Customer Service at rstickel@forestriverinc.com. Let us help you go thru the process to see if we can get you some help based on what happened with the tire.

Sorry for the difficult weekend, but we will try to help.

PTM

Nothing to do with the tires, but if you get a steel tube or solid pc of steel about 2" tall that will fit in between the spring shackle at the walking beam, you won't have to make the stack nearly as tall.
