HOLY WIRES, BATMAN !!!

I knew there was a lot but, that's more wires than I imagined.

Never fear. RV Guy still checks in on us once in a while. His last activity was 2/10/14.

He's a busy guy I assume since the company is doing so well.

Is the fireplace in the Crusader 260RLD electric only or does it run on propane as well?

So if 95% of my camping is boondocking, then I would have to run it off my inverter or start my generator? If so, do you know what the DC ah draw is?

So assuming fireplace is 1500 watts at 120 volts that is 12.5 amps at 120 volts or 125 amps at 12 volts. Not a good idea off batteries.

Guess it will be nice to look at on a warm summers day. For some reason I thought it ran on propane as well. I have 300 watts of solar and 4 6 volt batteries and even with that I will not use it. Guess when I want to use it I will have to have shore power I fire up the generator. Thanks for the bad news. LOL. I guess it's better to find out now then after I'm out on the beach and want to use it.

If you need heat when boondocking stick to the LP furnace. The fireplace is better to stay off.

I have to wonder if the slide wear issue has caused RV guy to silent.

We took our new 325res out two weekends ago for a test run. We were in a campground with hookups. It was a little chilly at night 35-40 degrees we had the electric fireplace going and it heated the Living Room and Kitchen but the Bedroom and Bathroom were too cold so we had to run the furnace too. It is nice but......
