Unhappy RV Guy help, Used tank flush and flooded coach

Used the black water tank flush and noted water flowing out from under the side of the coach. Removed the panel in the basement and found the area under the steps and bathroom sprayed down with water. Used a wet vac to clean up. Traced hose from tank flush connector up the bathroom wall and than back down to the black water tank.
Why is the hose run up the inside of the bathroom wall? Dealer is talking about having to remove the wall to get to the leak in the hose. Is there another way to run this hose? After the dealer fixes the leak, how can I get to it if this happens again?

Probably has the vacuum break valve up in that wall.

Most mfg run the line up, then into a U shaped break, then back down to the tanks so they will drain into the tank instead of back washing.

I had my Wildcat do exactly what you are saying, and there was a stink bug stuck inside that break valve.....

Rv guy works at prime time manufacturing. According to your profile you own a coachman.

I believe that is a type of back flow prevent valve. It probably would not be needed since the tubing is routed the way it is (up high then down to the black tank) but it will prevent backflow. It probably is a gov standard requirement. After disconnecting the water hose from the black tank rinse input there will probably be some residual water return but it will not be black water. Of course I could be completely wrong on this.

Put your reading glasses on, sport, and try again.
The Coachman Clipper popup is for the people that think they are going to sleep in DW'S Sanibel 3600. Including those people she brought home from the hospital for me to feed and shelter the first 18 years of their life.

Ok "sport". No sig with a sanibel shows up in the forest river app. So not too far fetched to think you Rv in what's in your profile.

My Lacrosse did the same the first time we used the black tank flush. Water was running across the bedroom floor and going under the walls, and was running out from the underbelly.

Turns out the plumbing fittings behind the UDC (where the hoses and coaxs connect) were not properly tightened. After the dealer said he fixed it, it still leaked and I had to tighten the fitting even more.

Makes you wonder how testing and PDI checks don't find out manufacturing defects like this.

I had a trailer for two years and the vac breaker went. I ripped all that out and just use a valve in the line that I shut off before I shut the hose at the spigot.

You have Signatures turned off in the App settings. Might want to turn that on.

07 Thunder - What you're describing is how we have to do it by code and the photo above is a good representation of what it will look like. The check valve will be accessible via an access and your dealer should not have to "remove a wall". If you'd like to contact Roger in our customer service group at rstickel@forestriverinc.com he will be glad to give you or your dealer assistance. We truly apologize for the loose/broken fitting and hope to get you fixed up quickly.

Where is the App setting? I updated my profile page. Would you mind checking to see if I got this corrected?
I'm on a lot of forums and this is the first time anyone has checked any other info on me. Thank you irishrv.

Your profile looks good shows Sanibel and coachmen. The signature setting is in the forest river ipad\iphone app. It comes turned off by default. I've now turned mine on.

Thanks.

Btw my back flow valve on a previous 5th also cracked and leaked. One cause is failing to winterize the black tank flush...which I missed. I ended up just removing the valve and using some shark bite fittings on the pipe to bypass. Worked great afterward.
