Sanibel 38 BQ matress size

my wife and I just put a deposit down on a Sanibel 38 BQ, and it comes with a queen mattress. The brochure states there is a king upgrade. does anyone know is this as simple as buying a king mattress and putting in in, or does the actual base of the bed need to be changed out?
thanks

Don't know, but I'd guess new plywood base would be needed, as well as removing two side tables.

Usually, the underbed storage would be made larger to support the larger plywood base. Yes, you would loose the side tables and 2 small shelves are added. This is normally a FACTORY ordered upgrade and usually not done by the dealer.

We had them install king bed at the factory. They did not charge for the upgrade.
