Sanibel owners experiencing de-lamination issues

I’ve had my Sanibel 3601 for 2 summers and just had this pop out this week. Wondering how many others are having this issue.

Didn't you post this problem already under a different thread? I think at that time you said it was new now you say it's 2 years old. Maybe I'm wrong but do not think so.[emoji848]

I just found it , you said it was your first trip? I guess it could be if you bought it used. If you bought it used it is on you to repair not prime time. So this was not there when you bought it ? Now I'm really confused.

I bought it new, February 17. Just made our first trip with it and had this issue upon our return.

Quality control

Warranty up now. Seems a long time to have a brand new trailer ait and not be used. Sadly ripping the wall apart and fixing isn’t worth the investamant. You trailer has dropped to 50% it’s valiue of purchase price. Patch. Unload it and move on.

It is still under warranty until February 28. We have been using it every weekend during the season at a local campground this was our first road trip.

Geez, people, he's looking for help not an investigation into past post, why's and how's. Good thing the forum police are here to keep things in order.

Seems the forrum and lack or warranty care on a trailer this old dictates such. On the road or parked the owner has to maintain seal and caulking. OP did you inspect roof seals? Looking very close looks like delamination fro water ingress. The bump could have been made worse by a frame that broke apart , the welding is not very good on these walls.

Report to dealer ASAP.

Well I have a 2015 Model 3601 and I have not experienced such a problem. When it was back for factory repairs about 2 and 1/2 years ago they said they fixed a delam type problem on my unit but I never noticed the problem.
It does look to me like this may be caused by water intrusion so I would look all around that area for any problem areas. Any good RV repair shop or body shop should be able to repair this problem for you.

OP states it's a 2017 and still under warranty. Take it in.

Hold it here, If you mean me, I was trying to figure out what the OP was talking about, he was given great advice from members already under his first post on another thread he started. I was asking if it was him that's all. If you read his fist post on here he says his unit is two years old. So the advice I gave him would have been wrong about warranty. I just wanted to clarify what he posted a week ago and now started a new one with the same complaint. I'm not a forum police man, but I pride myself on advice I give. If I was wrong i would like to clarify. This all that happened, at least 15 other members took the time to help and answer his question a week ago. I think you jumped the gun here, without knowing all the facts. His post and comments still confuse me being now on this post he said it's his second summer. That with stating in the first one it's 2 years old differently puts him out of warrenty. And I gave him advice for in warranty, let alone directing him to a older thread about delam to help him out. I don't insult people.

Not unless he has a extended 2 year, as stated bought Feb of 2017, one year would be up Feb 2018.

No insult taken here. I’m just looking for advice. You were the only response on the other post so I thought I’d try a new location. The camper has 5 months left on the warranty and I have contacted both the dealer and factory representative. I have inspected the roof seams and they look good above the bubble. Any seals that I found around the roof that looked suspicious were resealed. Witch Doctor I’ve read many of your post and have always appreciated and learned from your comments.

Thank you, as I said I was confused and easy to do, I do take pride in helping fellow members, I'm glad you cleared things up, and your lucky that you have a second year, the cost to replace that wall runs about 10,000. Sanibel are very good and nice units, I wish you and your family the best and safe travels and thank you for your service.

Doesn’t the warranty on new never used trailers start when u purchase from the dealer regardless of year?

Yes, that is correct. It starts the day you sign the papers. Normally 1 year, they use to have a 2nd year extended, but stopped that. Only FR brand that I know of that offers two years now is Columbus. Some dealers might offer you a second through them as a incentive, but that is not through FR.

If it's still under warranty unital Feb 28th I would take the that bad boy in ASAP I know it's not thrilling not having your RV trust me I know this first hand but its better to get it handled than take a huge depreciation down the road. Delam can happen for many reasons regardless of brand nature of the beast. I hope you can get it resolved sooner than later, wonder how they fix this?

If you are able to get it fixed under warranty, let the rest of us know how they did it and did they do a good job. Also let us know who did it, as in Forest River, or your dealership and how you were treated and the quality of the repair. I'm with everyone else, if you've still got a warranty, get it there as fast as you can.
