Just behind the cap on the left and right side, you should have a switch for each side unless they made a huge change in 2017.

It's only one light underneath the steps.

On my 2015 Sanibel model 3601 the scare lights are within the cabinet with all the other light switches and the tank monitor. The top row of switches is the interior lights. If I remember correctly the next row down from the top is the outside lights. One switch on mine controls the awning lights and the light behind the outside steps. The other switches are for the scare lights on the left and right side. They do seem to change the switch location around all the time so yours may well be different.

Scare lights should be on Both sides with switches for each! Lights under the Step area listed as Scare Lights seems odd, these lights are listed as Step Lights on most units! Scare lights are normally around 8" in Dia.! Youroo!!

X2 I too am confused. I have both; a step light under the exterior steps which is on the same switch as the exterior door (porch) light, then I have 2 8" round clear lens "scare lights", 1 on each side of the 5er. Both of these are on 1 switch in my situation.
