Just ordered 2 today. After reading this thread, no need to debate over it any longer so I should have them by early next week. Thanks.

I have had them on all my trailers but, on this one there isn't enough room to mount it along the edge of the door. The door frame covers most of the edge of the door. Any ideas?

Don't ask me how I know,,, but it is very easy to install the grab bar where the door will not close !!! But small white screws make great screw hole fillers !!! It really helps to mark screed door with a pencil when the door is closed,,, before drilling holes !!!

One of my first mods. I always wonder why it's not standard.

X2, agree with the last post.....the screen door frame was not designed for any kind of "assist mechanism" whether it be help getting up the stairs or pulling the outside door closed (which is probably why manufacturers don't install them and the plant). It is meant solely as a "screen door" closer.

Maybe I'm the odd man out (usually in my case), I had one in one of my TT and never bothered to put one back in our 5'r. Just don't see the need.
