Shower door explosion

Anyone have their shower door explode into 700,000,000 pieces? Mine just did on a crusader 351Res 2015 model. Was sitting outside on a nice sunny day (only 70 degrees out) and heard a loud crash. Went inside and what a mess.

No reason, just kapow! All over the bathroom floor, shower floor, hallway and bedroom entrance.

It must have been tempered glass. Is it possible one of the corners was damaged. I have seen tempered glass do that when it's damaged along the edge somehow.

Didn't notice any imperfections in the door. One of two left

Did it swing open and hit the porcelain toilet like mine does?
I put a bumper on my door to prevent this problem.

I had a residential shower door do that once. Nothing struck it, it was relatively new. I was told by the contractor that occasionally there are defects in the glass, and since glass is a "liquid" it can flow enough that the defect or flaw causes it to essentially explode.

Found an article that provides similar information. A tiny defect or impurity can cause this. Rare, but spectacular...it a "holy sh!t" sort of way...

No, there are two curved doors that slide on a track to meet each other. They are relatively thick and heavy.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement. They are two curved doors that slide on a track. It's a corner shower. Most RV sites only have simple sliding doors listed. Thanks.

I might contact the manufacturer. I know your unit is a 2015, but it may be worth a phone call.
