Slide Gasket maintenance

While reading through some posts read that some things are better than others to put on the gaskets for slide-outs. Is it okay to use motocraft silicone lubricant spray? I have been using it on my vehicle's door gaskets for years. Just wondering if that stuff is good to use. Thanks.

Need to get a dry lubricant. They make stuff specifically for RV seals. I used stuff similiar to that and it worked great for protecting the seals but made them too slippery. They wouldn't flip properly when putting the slides out.

The only advice I have here is to use a silicone based spray.

All the RV Seal cans I have seen use a water based emulsified silicone as the primary ingredient. Use either the premium RV silicone spray or Protect-All® Slide-Out Rubber Seal foam spray lubricant. I prefer the latter and find it easy to apply, very effective and long lasting.

The slide MECHANISM should only have a dry based (on wet; dries dry) lubricant. NEVER use grease or oil. It will attract dirt and road grime and jam your slide over time.
