As an FYI I would suggest that one check carefully at the bottom outside corners of your slide. While looking at the outside bottom corners of the slide and pushing up to check the soundness I found it has water trapped in those corners and will squirt out when pushed. Area has a soft spot-approx. 1" x 1 1/2" when pushed. The other corner has a smaller soft spot. I checked for bad caulking but found none. I recaulked with Dicor and after a rain I again was able to squeeze water out. The only place I can find that may be the cause of the leak is that the vertical sides have putty tape under the joints but no caulk. I will be adding caulk to those areas and then see if I have sealed up the leak. The slide is a Swintek and there is a longitudinal gap that looks like the aluminum piece may be 2 pieces and leaking there. I will keep you posted on what I find.

Slide out leaking

My bedroom closet slide had a leak. Floor was replaced. Tech said there was no Sealant under metal trim.

Ugh, not good to hear that. I will definitely check mine to see if there is any water penetration.

I found mine leaking also but It didn't cause too much damage before I sealed It up, here are the pics of the engineered defect ( PT, Cheers to you genius )If you look at most other manufactures slides you will see just a flat plain square cover over the miter joint along with flat aluminum extruded frame, not fancy but it can be sealed up nicely. Prime Time uses a fancy trim piece that looks nice along side fancier aluminum extrusions with vinyl inserts, well this looks very nice but it can't be sealed up for crap! the water is running into the slide via the small channel that holds the insert. I found mine to be only sealed under the corner trim and nothing under the vinyl insert
If your slide is built like ours Is I would keep your eye out for water infiltration.

After 2 1/2 years and doing our fare share of camping in this unit our Darco bottoms are still in real good shape but Im going to order and install the repair kits anyways just for some piece of mind!

When my Lacrosse was new it had an issue with the bedroom slide leaking.
After couple trips to the dealer the and a lot of wasted caulking and stumped techies , they found the leak. I do believe it was the same issue that keepaeyeonit was having.

I failed to mention that it is the bedroom slide.

Thanks for the photo. Didn't think it would be coming from there but I can find no other source. I have the bed removed and cut the carpet and exposed the top of the plywood. Wet on those corners and wet and soft where the roller contacts the bottom of the slide.

Again-Thanks for the photo. Pulled the trim piece off today and found the same thing you did. The screw holding the vinyl inset was rusty and I am convinced that is where the leak is. The screw originally went into the plywood floring but there was nothing left to bite into.

No problem thats what forum sites are for, I found mine just after the warranty was up (3 months out of warranty) of course my dealer was no help and the help I received from Prime Time on a another issue I didn't even bother to call them. I got it sealed up and the slide floor stopped swelling up, I have a small area of damage i'm not happy about it but it will have to do. I know there is another member with the same problem except his whole slide bottom was swelled up. Keepaeyeonit

One thing I forgot to say, don't forget to look at the upper corners as well. I have slide toppers so getting the sealant behind the topper mounts was not easy but I was able to. Keepaeyeonit

FR used Eternabond tape on the inside of the flange on my rig. Looks to be holding up but after I used Dicor to seal under the vinyl trim I also added some around the Eternabond.

I had pulled the vinyl trim and caulked up about a foot and reinstalled the trim while the caulk was wet. I have used WoodRot epoxy to fill in where the missing wood was and also used a liquid that hardens the wood. There was water damage and soft wood where one of the rollers contact. I have used the liquid there also. I have cut the carpeting out and will also epoxy a 3/8" piece of plywood over the existing plywood.
