I called PT many times and insisted they cover the bottom of the slideouts with something more durable. After weeks of excuses, they would only authorize the dealer to cover the torn fabric with Darco tape. This proceeded to show signs of tearing only after about 5 cycles on the slideout. I immediately bought the Slick Strips from eplastics.com and fixed it permanently. If you let this go too long, moisture will get to the wooden floor and cause bigger problems. There are about 4 good solutions in this forum.

Everyone should still call PT and let them know how you feel. Only a class action lawsuit will get them to do the right thing.

Good Luck!!!

This is a known issue that my 2014 295rst also has. It's a defect in manufacturing and prime time knows it. I would not be concerned that you are a few months past your warranty. The problem didn't just start after your warranty ran out. It existed from the time you bought the unit and again, prime time is aware of the issue on the 295rst kitchen slides.

That darco crap will last for a few cycles of the slide
I cant understand why a top notch company like Primetime doesn't make this right! They sent me strips that my dealer installed. So far so good

Wouldn't be too sure about being in warranty. This thread goes back one year and Prime Time has said NOTHING about repairs or warranty. Only apply more tape that has already failed.

There may be a wear strip under the slide as opposed to rollers. My slide chattered when I opened or closed it. Manufacturer's rep suggested I use a product called Zep 45 on the underside of the floor. It is a silicone based product used in the food industry and is touted to be one of the few lubricants that actually work on this material. Other silicone products may make it worse.

Hope this helps.

Thumbs down

After following this story for a year now I have decided not to buy a Crusader. I feel Primetime has not done enough to solve this problem. When you are paying $50,000 plus and they have not solved this problem it turned me away. There seems to be to many frustrated owners having this problem. I looked at the Crusaders and I liked them and looked at many of them. Always looking under the slides and along the bottom edges. We just didn't feel good about buying one and then having this issue. Where has RV GUY gone? He use to be on this website daily.
