Slide out /Underside wearing

SEE LINKS BELOW FOR FIX PT part #10F16032A
There are several other way to repair this problem. The thread is long and sifting thru all the posts is time consuming. Thought I would post a couple of links to the wear strips and the part #
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I posted this under slide outs without any feedback from anyone.
So I thought I would post it here.
This is the underneath side of my fridge / tv slide out on our 2014 Lacrosse 323rst.
Anybody else see a slide wear like this?
Looking for info and help with this. Dealer puts more tape on it and adjust it but that is wearing too. They have also changed the small corner wipers.
Prime time is unresponsive to the pictures I sent that they have asked for!
Under that black layer of plastic fabric is a white layer of more plastic , thin boarding looks like cardboard and then Styrofoam.
The tape they have put on is now wearing too.
Prime time needs a wear strip or use Masonite down there. My neighbor has the same unit and his underside looks like crap compared to mine.
Looking to fix this before it becomes a bigger problem.

Are the tires below and or ahead of the bad area when towing?

The wear is on both ends of the slide-out. The wear is from sliding in and out. All good by tires.

My 295RST is doing EXACTLY the same thing. I have yet to take it into my dealer to see what they will do about it.

I see something similar on my 325RES, but fraying of the black weaved material under the atrium slide.
I'm also very interested in what is going on.

mine has frayed too. Like I said they have added tape to the ends and bottom and it does help to a point. But it still showing wear.
Like to see what it looks like in a year or 2 after the warranty runs out.
I dont think prime time / forest river has a fix for it.
Could be why I haven't heard back from them.
I think the slide just drags across the hard plastic threshold and rubber wipers causing this wear.

A friend of mine looked at ours this weekend and made a valid suggestion. Put a roller (or 2) under the bottom lip of the slide to have it roll along instead of rubbing. I certainly hope Prime Time responds with a fix and informs their dealers.

RV Guy, would you care to comment?

Agreed. My bedroom slide (Schwintek) does have wide rollers and no issues there.

Masonite and rollers, loose the layers of plastic and thin board. I am also wearing in the center of the slide. Two pieces of plywood meet (sub floor of main unit) and dont line up to the same height. The higher board is also leaving a its markings now.
Maybe they will see enough people are having problems they will do something about it.
I have emailed the rv guy and sent pics to Roger at prime time and have been waiting to hear back. Figure they were at the rally. I will be there next year.

My wardrobe is Schwintek slide -out. good quality there. Unfortunately the large fridge slide bottom is not made like that slide-out at all.

I would be interested to find out what they say or do for a fix.

I have sent pictures of mine to the RV Guy. He is going to looking into this
mater with the slide-outs. Hopefully they work out a good fix that will last.

Same thing happened to mine on the slides over the kitchen floor. Dealer had a repair kit that they installed. They stated forest river knows it happens

Really.. Tell me more..what did they do? Is there a kit number to identify the kit? I would like to let my dealer know about the kit.
Could you send a picture of what they did ?
Forest river knows about the problem ?? My dealer has no info on any kit.

It is hard plastic they installed. Has worked great for over a year now. There is no part number on them. You might check my post i believe i posted a picture of the repair at one time. If you can't find it i will send you a one.

If you go to my profile on here and look at my pics I have some of the tape. It helps but I think the plastic wear strip would be better unless it causes problems of some kind. The tape wears and frays and is a short term fix.

It's good to know that FR is doing something about this. I will inform my dealer when it goes in for warranty work.

My dealer didnt know of that fix with the plastic wear strip.. I have asked them to look into it. I even asked about something like a wear strip when it was in there the first few times for this problem.

this is its getting old as this has been going on since day one for me.
The tape is a band-aid need a real fix
