Slide problem on new Tracer Air 2015

In preparation for our 5th trip, one of the slides on our 2015 Tracer Air got stuck. Took it to Crestview dealer in Georgetown, TX, and they lead us to believe they would start on it right away. After calling to check on the progress they said they could not look at it for it 2 weeks. We had reserved a campsite in Big Bend, had to cancel, lost deposit. Took trailer to local repair shop, and they said motors in this trailer had been problematic. We have used the trailer 4 times, it was a couple weeks out of warranty. Total driving time to dealer was 6 hours, 2 trips. On our second camping trip, no cold water in shower and the weld broke on the ball that connects the sway bar to the main hitch. Took to Crestview, and 2 weeks wait again. They ordered wrong valve for shower and we had another week's delay as they had to reorder. We called to check on progress frequently and most calls not returned.

Your's is the 3rd or 4th post I've seen in the last couple years about the sway ball breaking off.

I'd dump your hitch and get an Equalizer hitch. Built-in sway control.

We are at a campground right now and have the same problem with our 2015 Tracer 242Air. Also, we have a leak under the sink that we got fixed by calling an on-site RV repair co. They charged us $140 and two trips later it was leaking again! A neighbor camper came and worked on it a bit and the leak stopped. This is our first time out since then and discovered our slide won't slide and we are so tight in the camper we can't get to under the sink where the leak is. Some friends tried to help us with the slide but we can't find where the motor is located. According to what I have been reading on this site, it is probably defective? We bought an extended warranty so we will bring it in on Monday but in the meantime we have had to turn the water off. We are not "happy campers"! This is the 8th time we use the camper since we bought it In June 2015!

I see your sink is in your slideout. So's mine. Here's my leak issue and my fix, in case it's similar to yours.

Thank you for your responses. chesba88,yes, our slide is Schwintec. I have read other posts that say this is a known problem with the Schwintec motor on this make and model of Tracer. Thank goodness our extended warranty is still in effect! The other posts said we could disconnect the motor and the slide could be pushed out, but we could not find it. I suspect the motor is behind the sofa since that is the only place we did not think to look. I thought about that later that night when we no longer had someone knowledgeable to help us. We are not very handy when it comes to maintenance because my husbands hands were damaged in an accident and he no longer can handle tasks that require fine motor skills. That is the reason we need to rely on others to help or we have to bring our camper to the "hospital" when things need to be fixed!

rockfordroo, I looked at the pictures you posted about your water leak. Our leak was right under the sink and because it is in the slide, we were too tight to get under there when we had help. We were trying to find the motor to disconnect it as suggested by others on this forum who had the same problem. If we could have pushed the slide out, we would have had room to work under the sink. We did not have water for the duration of our camping trip and had to drop the camper off at the hospital on our way home!

Schwintek slides have two Motors they are located in the upper corners of the frame one on each side removing them is very easy I would suggest going on to YouTube and watching the videos on how to remove Schwinn tech slide Motors and how to bypass it with the override process it's very simple
