1) I use a dry lube. Any of the commercially available ones will work just fine. You can get spray cans of the stuff at any auto parts store. With the slide fully extended, I crawl under the slide and spray everything I can see and reach.
2) I use ProtectAll on my slide seals. In fact I use it on all rubber gaskets for car.truck, and RV. Seems to work well and the seals are still soft and pliable.
