Smoke/CO Detector goes off when heat is turned on

Picked up a new 2015 Tracer 3150BHD about a month ago. Just for the heck of it I decided to turn the heat on to make sure it worked. Within a minute or two of the heat kicking on the smoke/CO detector started going off. Turned the heat off and the beeping stopped. Turned the heat back on and it started up again. Is this normal in a new unit, should I just leave the heat on for a while with the windows open or is this something I should call Primetime on?

Normal...mine did the same thing. Let it run and ventilate it and it shouldn't do it again. Could be worse...I hadn't checked mine out and got off from a night shift last fall and decided to fire it up since it had just gotten cooler. Detector went off and I couldn't get to it....slide was in and couldn't reach it. That's a lot of noise at 5 AM.

We had the same thing happen when we picked up our trailer last year. Opened up the windows and let it run for a while. Never had a problem since.

Our Sabre is 3 weeks old and the CO monitor will go off Periodically. Talked to sales manager where we bought it and he said hair spray, perfume, smoke from a camp fire will set it off. Not sure I agree that is what is setting it off though. One thing I do know, as loud and shrill as it is, it would definitely wake us ! ☺️

Had the same issue with our Lacrosse the first time we fired up the furnace. Let it run a few minutes and have not had a problem since then. Probably dust or some of the original preservative coating burning off the heater.
