Okay, thanks all for your help. I am pretty sure the the HD package kicked off the 17" default to 18" rims. I will check with the tire rating and definitely not go to any larger size.

In the XLT trim package for the SuperCrew (6.5' bed) with MAX trailer tow and HD payload the MSRP is about $36,000 all in (that includes an $8,000 rebate). The Ecoboost option is only $1250.00. This is using the Ford Canada website (build and price icon). It is very easy to use.

When my wife saw the shift lever on the steering column, that was the end of that. The next trim level up with a center shift console is the FX2 and FX4. You can not equip the FX2 with both HD payload and MAX trailer tow packages.

The next step up is the Lariat that will allow both packages on the Fx2 and Fx4. We don't need four wheel drive so it is the Fx2. We are only able to get this because of the rebate incentives.

Yes all of the above plus rear view camera, telescopic mirrors and upgraded stereo. That would round out all of the options ordered with the truck. A very specific build according to the sales guy. And yes 17" rims with the 7 lugs.

Do you have to get the 6 1/2 foot bed to get the Heavy Duty package? I really want a supercrew with the shorter bed. I've built that combo on the Ford website, but don't remember if it let me get it with the shorter bed.

I think you have to go with the 6.5 foot bed for the HD package in the Supercrew. I'm not 100% sure though.

A 6 1/2 foot box would be required..on a crew cab (supercrew) model .. a 8 foot box on a super cab model..

Think you will really like driving it. I have the F150 Platinum with the ecoboost and it drives and pulls like a champ. Didn't get the max tow package but had no problems pulling TT from Kansas city to Colorado. Figured was trailer and all of the stuff in it was around 6000 lbs. Was able to go speed limit very easily even in the mountains.

Have fun with it.
