Televison recption
Have 2010 Tracer 2800 which came with Jensen TV antena. At many campgrounds I get little or very poor recption compared to my neighbors. I might get 2 stationas, they get 6 - 8. Have done research on the Jack antena which seems to provide outstanding recption. Anyone know what system Prime Time is using now? Any experience with the Jack antena?
Thanks for your help. Brian

There's a thread here from a member that did a comparison. I will post it if I am able to locate it.
I'm learning there can other factors involved including brand of TV sets. Some are better than others for over the air stations.
I'm sure others with more technical experience will be able to offer more feedback.
Found it - here's the link.

don't know if this helps much...I had the same problem and had to auto program the channels every time we go somewhere new. Click "menu", "Set-up", select "autoprogram", click on "antenna". It will take a few minutes for the T.V. to reprogram the channels. Don.t forget to turn the booster on...Hope this helps..

I think my 2013 230FSB uses a Dometic? Will double check and let you know. On my recent trip, I got great reception and several channels. But it was my first trip, so nothing to compare to.

Yes, as mentioned the first thing to make sure of is that your TV is on "antenna" mode and not "Cable."
You should also check a site that will tell you how many channels you should be getting. I use tvfool.com - but I know there are others. At least you will know what you are up against. It will also help you with aiming; many TV stations either share towers or have the towers close together.

I'm not familiar with your antenna so don't know if it "turns". If it DOES, you may need to adjust it directionally to get optimum reception. I'm thinking that a lot of the newer antennas are not adjustable in that way though.

Just checked and my antenna is a Winnebago brand. Also I had to rotate the base and adjust the height (with the crank) to get the best channels that didn't "freeze up".

Dgiturbo, are you sure it's not a Winegard?

Opps, Yes it is a Winegard. Funny how much clearer you can see things when you use reading glasses.

First time we used our tv on cable was a few weeks ago, have used the antenna since we purchased it back in January. Well, had the booster off, cable installed outside, DW was ready to watch her football game, and then nothing. I got hold of the controller and started flipping and trying to get it off antenna to cable. What I heard was "why do you keep going through the same thing over and over?" I finally got it on the cable mode and she was happy. Hey, it is still there because we plan on going camping again where they have cable access.
