The expensive way to change the hot water tank anode
First determine you want to pick up the anode at the local RV show while browsing
Take DW and teen daughters to show where they will determine the current RV floor plan really should be updated to accommodate new camping schedule (read greater attendance by teens)
Replace trailer with old hot water tank anode with new RV that is delivered with new anode
We take delivery of a new 33BHS on Friday

We set up a tent or tents when the girls came out last year - so this will make it a lot easier for all & when mom's happy all are happy

congrats on the new anode, I hope it keeps the DW and kids happy and warm when trying to do dishes and take showers.

It's just like sending the wife to the grocery store for beer. She then proceeds to pick up some "things we needed anyway." Next thing you know that 12 pack costs you $200. Congrats on the new digs!

Congrats on the new unit with ruckus room and new anode. What does the TE mean? I have a 2013 33BHS but no TE. I am assuming Touring Edition, but the floor plans are the same.

Stanleyg - I believe the TE = the Touring Edition bundle the trailer shipped with - Power awning & tongue jack, Aluminum wheels, TV&DVD etc
I think the girls wanting to continue camping with us is awesome - and if this helps all the better
KyDan I will be checking for the new anode on Friday
I think the estimate for the truck put us a 85-95% on GVWR GCWR & GAWR numbers so should be good to go

Man o' man, I betcha that is the most anybody has ever paid for an anode rod replacement. I know I should not be laughing at your overpriced repair cost, but that is just too funny.

Remember if it has an Atwood hot water heater no anode is needed. Doh. Back to the Rv show.

My 318 does not have an anode.......are you sure that you went to an RV show for an anode and did not come home with one?

You all are right - no anode on this one -- we found out friday it came with the 18 Gallon/Hour Quick Recovery Mode Atwood Water Heater 
That should slow down the anode shopping at the next RV show
