AND we keep buying all this marginally designed stuff to get a few more feet on the inside. Anyone that makes real quality stuff goes out of business because it costs a few bucks (sometimes quite a few) to make thing well.

We are our own worst enemy, in the quality game, because we accept the frills and the fancy marketing and don't demand more.

The miracle to me is how good ALL the cars are nowadays compared to years ago. I wish that was happening to other products, like campers.

Not related to rv's, but when we were testing the ILMS hydraulics for the Multiple Launch Rocket System, the hydraulic pump & motors had a 20 yr life and when completed, still had to perform to the original spec. Cost was $126,000 for a pump, 2 motors and a reservoir. Fantastic pc of equipment.
