Tires on a new Crusader 325 res??
In two weeks I take delivery of a Crusader 325 res. What has been the experience with tires on this unit? I'm planning a 9,000 mile trip starting in June and don't need problems. Last year I did 9,000 miles on Maxxis and they are still good to go, except they are 15" rims.

Tell your dealer you want Maxxis tires BEFORE you sign the papers. There is most likley another new trailer with the tires you want.
Good Luck

Nice trip sounds like fun!
We have been staying pretty close to home so far. We are on our 4th trip and have approx 850 miles on it so far. Not really enough to be able to rate the tires but so far so good. (Knock on wood)
Based on everything I hear about any of the stock tires I'll probably swap them out before we leave for the Goshen rally. That will be a little over 4000 miles round trip.

Sounds like a really nice trip. Let us know when you plan on stopping in Gettysburg (our home resort is Battlefield Resort). If you're a Coast to Coast member, it's 10 points ($10) a night. Reserve early for this one, it's the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. They are expecting over 3 million visitors over the spring, summer and fall. There will be a whole lot going on this year.

We are using the stock tires and seem ok. I haven't noticed any problems in over 3000k miles last summer.
Can you fill me in on the stock tire concerns?

Same here, 1 year and over 2000 miles and no issues. I believe in checking air pressure often and you should be alright.

I wanted to know if anyone had blow outs on the OEM tires. I use a Truck System Technologies TPMS to view the pressure and temps. In 13,000 miles on the old trailer no tire problems, but wanted to see what others had to say about their tires.

Age, u/v protection, and proper air pressure are more important than miles Starting my 3rd season and still look new. Will probably replace next year.

X2!
We have over 10,000 miles on the original 15" factory Road Rider tires. They were made in May, 2011. These have been run at 65psi cold, at speeds below 60mph and at ambient air temperatures ranging from 27F to 110F from Missouri to southern Arizona to central British Columbia. They are covered when parked. Tread wear is even all around. The TST tpms system is great for peace of mind and I heartily recommend it!
I experienced one slow rim-leak last fall. When my tire shop examined the tire and rim, the owner told me the tire was in excellent condition and suggested they had another 10K miles or 2-3 years more life in them, whichever came first. The shop reset the bead. The tires are only down 3.5-5psi over the winter.
We will replace them spring 2014 regardless, as we have several trips planned for this year, and I'd rather replace them here at home than at the side of some highway.

You should be getting your 325 right about now?
Ours is being delivered to the dealer today and we just got 4 more inches of snow.
My DW and I went tio visit the Prime Time factory (Wakarusa) last week to see them built - pretty interesting. The product manager gave us a personal tour.
I did ask about tires - seems back around 2007, tire quality was poor, but this has been corrected. The tires on the units being built had some good looking 'E' load rated tires on it - should be OK as long as pressures are maintained.
Here's a couple of pics from last week - thought you might be interested.
