Has anyone towed a Roo 233s with Dodge Dakota 4.7L V8 ?

I'm towing mine with a Ford E150 van with a 5.4L V8 and wish I had more. Sluggish on the hills and 8MPG Don't really know any specs on the Dakota, but it just sounds like it wouldn't really be enough. I'm sure the experts here will chime in for ya, though.

I towed a 233 with my Titan...it wiggled more than my Lacrosse does now. The 318bhs with an Equalizer tows very nicely. You will be able to tow it with your Dakota but get a good sway control....

We tow our 2010 Prime Time Tracer 205M with a 2010 Dakota 4x4, 4.7 l, 3.55 rear end. Tow rating on the Dakota is 6100 lbs, 205 M weights 3000 dry.

By the time that the truck is ready to go we have put appr. 1100 lbs in and on it. (people, gas, camping paraphernalia etc.) This comes right off the tow rating, so now we have 5000 lbs left for the trailer.

By the time that the trailer is ready to roll it weights in at about 4100 lbs, so we have a 900 lbs safety margin which is less then I like but manageable.

Power wise the truck is fine, even in the mountains and handles good even without sway control. I'd rather not talk about the mileage (or lack thereof)

So, please do your own calculations and be safe.

Take care,
