Tub wont drain

Alright, we feel like such beginners but here is yet another queston. The gray tank indicator shows the tank is empty.......is it possible that it is full and there is a sensor issue or could there be another issue. The kitchen sink does not back up and drains fine.

Thanks, in advance, for any input!

HUH?? You say the sink does not back up? It drains fine?? So what's the problem?
Open the drain valve ans see if any gray water comes out.

Night-lights

Welcome to the world of useless (Except for fresh water) holding tank indicators. The indicators are good for two things, 1. The sales person gets to point and say, "Look how bright they are", and 2. well, I can't think of anything else.

Have fun, pull the gate when your tanks are full and close them when empty. You'll soon get the hang of it and know when it's time to empty....In the mean time, put some tape over the lights so they don't worry you. Oh yeah, I just thought of #2 good reason for indicator lights....Night-lights.

Funny, yet true. Tank was full, lights are clearly worthless.. Thanks for the reply.

Off to find my duct tape to cover those lights.

those THINGS work for me most of the time
on the two rigs I have owned
but
many times after dumping
they still show something
yes
good THING to look at sometimes
but
to rely on
probably not

don't worry about it too much
with time you will almost know
in your minds eye
how close to full they are

when in doubt
empty all tanks
and
flush if possible

It would sure be nice if it worked.. Is it typically an easy fix? Like just replacing the monitor or if it is a sensor is that a difficult task?

Just wonderin.

Thanks all for your help.

Here is a mod to replace the sensors in the tanks with improved version.

This is a new unit so why not add it to the list for the service department to check?

Yeah, definitly on my complaint list, although, I will also say, my list is rather small compared to many I have seen. we are incredibly happy with our purchase so far. a couple LED's won't ruin our weekend!

Better keep an eye on the toilet black water tank. Certainly don't want it to overflow
