waiting delivery of 230 FBS

I'm new here, found this site and read most comments for the past 2 days...very interesting. Ordered a 230 on April 30 and still have not received a mfg date. Anyway I have a comment for Prime Time and a question for present owners. From all of the pictures of units on line and also PT sites I see where they make ALL of their bedroom cabinets over the bed with the doors opening the WRONG way...standing next to the bed one has to reach over and open the door 180 degrees to gain access. The Surveyor I traded in had the hinges toward the center of the trailer making for easy access, and all other mfg that I looked at have this same arrangement. I requested that my dealer order my trailer so that the doors open the correct way. Am I missing something here, or does Prime Time just like to be different?

Mfg date...$100.00 credit eliminated dining area

Just received a call...our 230 FBS will be done at PT on July 10....We requested that all the benches, table and cushions in the slide-out dining area be eliminated..just carpeting in this slide-out. (Prime Time gave us $100.00 credit for eliminating all that). We purchased two wall hugger/swivel/recliners with attached swing up side table on each chair from Bradd & Hall located 8 miles from Prime Time mfg. Not sure what else we will put or have room for in this area. Will see when we get the trailer. We had enough of sitting on thin cushions and benches on our previous Surveyor. We decided that when forced to be inside we want to relax in comfort while watching TV/reading/napping/etc and the side tables would be fine for eating/writing/etc. Hope this will work out for us.

Went to Prime Time last week with our dealer to pick up our new 230 FBS. While there Chris from PT gave a tour of the factory after the shift had closed for the day. Really interesting seeing units in progressive stages of assembly. As mentioned in previous posts I requested some changes and modifications and they did them as requested. A surprise from PT was a recessed shelf with an elec outlet at the head of the bed instead of a "headboard". This is a SUPER addition! Hope they make it standard as I think everyone would like it. I replaced the shower head with an Oxygenics model today. An additional shelf will be added to the LARGE cabinet in the bathroom, to much wasted space otherwise. The very "large" refrigerator in the outside kitchen will be replaced with a smaller one after I add a shelf for it to sit on. This will allow me to access the refrigerator when the outside stove is in use and also provide extra counter area for coffee maker, etc. Prime time should consider this for their small outside kitchens. The inside refrigerator is extra large, so a large one outside to is a bit of an over kill. I can get 24 cans of beer in a small refrigerator...what more room do I need? Another mod planned is to add "rails" to the cavity under the mattress to support 7 inch deep tubs so that there would be 2 levels of storage in there. This is a great camper for two people and the shower is also a winner....32" x 40".... that is luxury. I keep looking on this forum for ideas to make it even better.
