Wash and wax

Time to give our camper its first bath, I have heard not to wax the decals. I need some advise as to what to put on the decals if anything. I use regular car wax on the rest. Any better suggestions?

I wash with Zip car wash and then coat entire camper with Nufinish, decals and all. I have never noticed any adverse effects to decals.

Aerospace 303 Protectant for the decals. A little goes a long way. People use it for anything and everything on their car and RV. It's especially good for the tires.

Google "Aerospace 303 on RV decals".

I've used Nu-Finish for years over the whole TT and the only decals I'v ever has issues with are the ones on the side of the TT that faces directly into the sun all day long. IMO the sun does the damage not the waxes. Nu-Finish goes on so easy and rubs out with little to no effort and last.

Well, I hope you can wax over the decals. I just finished waxing the entire 5th wheel with Mothers paste wax, and applying Mothers Showtime after that. Decals and all, and boy is she slippery. Word of caution though, the front nose of the Crusaders are pretty scary to wax. I had really reach on the ladder and from the roof line, and all the time thinking this is going to make hell of a video if I slide off the front of this thing.
I also prefer the Zip Wax car wash soap from Turtle wax. I hit it before and after every trip decals and all.

Washed (with Zip Wax) and waxed ours on the weekend. Used Turtle paste wax. Noticed some blue color on the applicator when I waxed the decals on the sunny side. Being new I thought this was oxidation that the wax cleaned off.

I bought some of 303 Aerospace protectant for my decals yesterday. I am pretty excited about this wonder material. We will see if it works.

Where did you find it? I've looked and can't seem to locate any.

I went to 303's website and did a dealer search. Believe it or not our local swimming pool supply house carries it.

Aerospace 303...

We live in Florida, and have kept a cruising sailboat in the Clearwater/St.Petersburg area for many years...couldn't live without 303...use it on anything rubber or plastic that is exposed to UV. And for your metal stuff...Prism Polish...another secret little gem from the sailing community...amazing stuff.

303 is handy dandy stuff....I just use soap/wax combo n water on the rest....not sure which wax to use for a 'real' waxing...mine is only 3 months old and is stored inside when not in use........

How I spent my last day of vacation this week...lol

I've always just used RV wash n wax, and never had a problem...of course I've never had an RV with the huge vinyl stickers on them before either.

Remember, take it easy on the 303...a little goes a long way on your decals. I find that it can streak down the trailer (especially after a morning dew or light rain) but the streaks wipe off easily. I use it for the plastics too. I'm hoping it will help reduce the yellowing effect.

I have always used Ice by Turtle Wax. Used the paste on my smaller trailer for 5 years. Just finished my 5er last week but used the liquid. It's a little expensive but really easy to use. No problem if you get it on plastic and rubber components. It's a chemical protectant and not a true wax so it doesn't leave the dreaded white film if you get it on something other than the paint. And yes, I use it on the vinyl as well. Also use the Ice car wash to wash the rv. Been using it on cars and trucks as well for years. When I sold my Outback last year it looked as good as it did in 2006 and extra $$$$ I got was well worth the annual/semi-annual waxing I gave it.
