Water filter

I have a 2015 Sanibel 3250 and I would like to know if my Fifth Wheel
Trailer has an internal water filter, if yes, where is the water filter
located.
Thank you for your reply.

usually right by the water pump or in some units it may be in your outside compartment where your water hook up is....either way if it's inside give strong consideration to removing it and going with a completely outside filter. Just do a search of the forums here for endless reading about people's problems with the water filters. Mine was removed before our very first outing...not taking any chances with that.

Thank you WFD,
If it is inside, it would be a stupid spot to
put it there.
I use my own water filter anyway, I will look for it
and remove the filter next spring.
Camping is done up here in Ontario, frost and snow
today.

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
What are you going to do about the filter being full of water?

Guess it did not go out Bob,
Right now the trailer is in Hamilton for a whole bunch of repairs,
I will pick up the trailer at the end of the month.
I winterized the trailer, the filter should be full of antifreeze, I will remove the filter
in the spring since I use my own water filter anyway.

My Water Filter and housing was removed completely from the inside of the unit and by-passed where it use to be. I only use an outside filter now. If you want you can still use the old canistear and filter outside the unit just make a holder for it out of wood or metal. The problem besides the leaking and almost impossible to take off or unscrew it to change the filter because of the tight location. Then the cost of the filters was just crazy through FR. That little Camco blue that screws onto your hose works just find. I do not drink that water or even make coffee with it. So I just try and keep the system Clean enough for dishes and showers and toilet. For drinking water and coffee we re filter it again with a Brita. No tight spaces and chance of flooding anymore. I just buy a new Camco every year, and Brita when needed or on sale. WFD is correct in post #2. OP it has to be located right after your city water inlet.

Thank you for the info, I will do this next spring.
I also use the blue filter for one year.
One has to question these engineers, designers why they
put a water filter inside the wall.
This just proves to me that these designers never owned/used a trailer.

Thank you for your reply.

As far as I know, Prime Time does NOT install internal water filters. My 2014 doesn't have one and I've never seen one on any other PT product.
