I also had low pressure and removed my pressure regulator. When I did, I observed an accumulation of gunk-la-dytes (technical term for debris of unknown origin) in the washer filter and in the pressure regulator. Cleaned everything out and reattached without pressure regulator and now water pressure is excellent. I do feel a little uncomfortable without the pressure regulator attached...
