Water in fresh water tank?

The wife and I pulled down to Hilton Head last Thursday and hooked up as normal. Friday morning I noticed water running out of under belly. I climbed around in basement as much as a 67 year old can and could see no spewing water from cracked pipe. Come to find out, I had left the 2 valves open going to antifreeze hose and fresh water tank. The fresh water tank had filled up and was flowing back through antifreeze hose. I shut that valve off and water started flowing out vent of fresh water tank. How can this happen since I never hooked water hose to fresh water tank?

Usually when fresh water tank fills up like you mentioned, it is because of check valve in water pump leaking. Shut off your shore water supply, start your water pump and run for a few minutes and hopefully that will re-seat the check valve. It is internal to water pump.
Try again your shore water supply.

Here is similar issue

Problems with water pump?

Thanks. After talking with some more campers, we think that was the issue. Just another part of learning curve.
