Water supply setup?

Howdy,

Don't know if it really matters, but I figured there might be a "hydraulic engineer" lurking out there somewhere :-)

1. For the water supply to the trailer. I have an adjustable pressure regulator, supply hose, and in line water filter. Does it matter what "order" this equipment goes from supply point to the trailer in order to maximize my internal trailer water pressure?

Example: spigot, pressure regulator, hose, in-line filter, trailer or....

spigot, hose, pressure regulator, filter, trailer ?? Etc.... You get the idea!

2. Planning on setting pressure regulator to 55psi. I don't have the manuals handy, but I believe that is what PT recommends for max press? Looking for dual concurrence....

Heading out this weekend which will be the start of our second season. Forecast is 75 and sunny :-) We can't wait!

Anything the water flows thru AFTER the regulator will reduce the water pressure. Especially the filter. So, you want the regulator to be the last thing the water flows thru before it enters the RV. You MAY find that 40-45 lbs is enough if you have a quality regulator. Sometimes water pressure and water volume can be confusing. A cheap 55lb regulator that does not flow well might not allow the shower head to work as well as a 40lb regulator that....does flow well even at higher volumes.
