You will never look back!

Congrats on the new fifth wheel. You will never look back after pulling the fifth wheel.

Again Congrats.

The 5th wheel hitching and un-hitch part alone is worth it to me.. and..Lots of storage...and...go ahead and turn wide ... as long as you have that room... and everything is good while your doing it..We have the Crusader 325.. and ...its too bad they (prime time) wouldnt have made it one foot longer.. and put a king bed option in though..

yep practice, practice. going to the mall parking lot next weekend before they open so I can get a better feel for it, get the brake controller fine tuned for the new trailer.
Nothing like the ease of hitching and unhitching a 5er. Enjoy!

thanks all,
sadly winter is coming so I think we will only get two trips if we are lucky. Going to hook it up and go down to the mall this weekend to get some practice before our maiden voyage next weekend.

Hoping we will get really lucky and have a nice weekend over the winter, there a handful of place that stay open year round up here.

King Pin Catch

Now that you have moved up to the big boys club, the first thing you MUST do, is a Butch's King Pin Safety Catch. That is the first thing I spent money on, 46 bucks and the one thing that is so easy to forget when you get in a hurry. I know, we never get in a hurry right. Please, take care of this asap, you will not regret it. 46.00 bucks vs 4,000, no brainer!!!!

I was looking at a bed saver ($200 +) but this a far cheaper option. I will have to wait a bit since we got a R20 hitch and it says "coming soon". thanks for the advice

Butch

The Butch Saver is far less expensive and easy to install. I will send you a photo of mine if you would like. This was my first 5'er also and yes the cost of 200 bucks are more seemed a little out of reach for us. I have seen someone drop there coach, and it is not pretty, did about 4 grand worth of damage.
Take Care:
