On ours you DO NOT have to have the slide out. We leave the door tied back with a bungee cord. Have used it frequently especially on those longer trips to WDW. Works great!

There's one in Daytona. Across from the track. When it wasn't raining. Still had a blast.

DW said she wanted to go for anniversary. I learned 27 years ago to do what she says. Lol. It is hot but some water, smoke a brisket and some ribs and corn hole on the side. We will make it somehow.

Ours is sitting in the pole barn and will be for at least another month. I will be glad when the DW retires and we can head for cooler climates in the summer. We camp from September until the end of May. We used to do the summer camping thing but I figured out I can sit at home and watch TV.

We bought our new one in June and said we would use it once a month. I'm with you on getting to some cooler months. I don't mind sweating over a smoker but to just stand around and sweat is for the birds.

How do you transport your smoker? I do a lot of smoking too but, usually just take stuff that I have already smoked.

I use a vertical smoker on these trips. It will fit between the truck body and the hitch. This trip my son brought it in his truck since we live up the road in Baker County.

Handy little smoker. Works well for camp cookouts.

2013 Crusader 290RLT

we just returned from our second Int'l FROG Rally in Goshen, IN -- last year we had over 340 rigs and this year I heard there were 508 rigs. GREAT TIME -
Love our Crusader - we are currently resting and recovering from 5 weeks of being on the road. met so many great friends at the Rally and reconnected with those we met last year.
I don't think our floor plan is available anymore. But we love it. I really like the open kitchen and rear LR -

hope you all have as great a time in yours as we have had in ours. many future trips planned - and definitely the Goshen Rally.

Pamela

Just got back from Black Canyon of the Gunison and Mueller State Park in Colorado. Saw one Crusader on the road and one was staying at Mueller.

Great parks to visit

We are currently in Lake Wales Florida, here is another Crusader parked just across from us, earlier this year while on the roads to Canada/Alaska, there were two others in Anchorage, there are a few out there....some may be in a shop somewhere, glad you're so happy with yours, right now we are down and out with a dead sofa slide here in Florida...cannot get it out to change the electric motor on one slide!!!
