Where did you get your quick disconnect propane hose?

I want to connect my road trip grill to the quick disconnect propane line that comes with all PTM RVs, but cannot find a hose with the quick disconnect. For those that are using this feature, where did you get your hose? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Any decent B.Q. shop should have it, I got mine at B.B.Q. Galore. Just tell them it's for a travel trailer, from what I am told all RV's use the same size.

Is there an adaptor for the Road Trip Grill itself to bypass the regulator? I made my own hose with the quick disconnect but my grill wouldn't work because it was going through 2 regulators (the one at the TT's propane tanks and the one on the grill).

Sorry, but I am quite sure rracer5 gave you an accurate answer.

Actually, rracer5 indicated he was using both regulators, I am not. I am screwing the hose directly into the grill, thus bypassing the regulator that comes with the grill.

I had a burner with a regulator on the end of the hose which i removed and replaced with a male quick connect i purchased at Ace Hardware... darn male quick connect is just ever so slightly too large for the female connector on the trailer.... grrrr. Are the TT QC's a diff size then the standard grill QC's?

Actually, that's my problem. I can't find a hose or fitting to fit my "red" road trip grill if I remove the regulator......HELP?

The hose I got has a brass fitting that screws onto where the regulator would normally screw onto. This fitting looks like a standard size fitting that could be found at an Ace, Orchard, True Value, etc. It seems like it will work, but I won't know until I bring the trailer home again. Also, I was looking on the box but it does not give the size of the fitting, it only indicates that it has a Hansen quick disconnect. The hose is from a canadian company called GrillPro. Sorry I could not give you more specifics.

Well, so much for the hose I found at Orchard as the quick disconnect would not fit the QD on the trailer. I have tried everywhere in my area, and this part cannot be found. Sorta makes this great feature useless.

How about the end that attaches to the grill? Did that end work? And what part of the QC is not the right size (diameter or length) does it click in or seems to bottom out before lockung in?

I have seen the quick disconnect ends at camping world but not sure if that will help your quest or not

The end that attaches to the grill worked, but the QC was too big diameter to fit into the QD on the trailer.

I believe that all campers have a 1/4 inch QC--Probally the one you bought is to hook a grill up to house natural gas (they are 3/8 inch)

If possible, could please post a pic of the grill side connector end? That is the end I can't find.

Thanks

The Road Trip grill takes a 3/8" flare female fitting. I eventually found a Camco 4100 kit at a truck accessory store (although it had been sitting on the shelf for quite a while). It has the QD that fits the TT, the other end has a valve with a 1/4" flare male fitting. Although I don't need the valve, it was all I could find that did not have a regulator on it. I went to the local hardware store and used a couple brass fittings to go from the 1/4" male to the 3/8" female. It screws onto the grill, just have not tried it out yet. I'll post a pic as soon as I am able.
