Which tank is which

I just bought a new lacrosse 292bhs and am wondering which valve belongs to which tank as they are not labelled black or grey and both shut offs are black any help here would be great as I'm leaving first thing in the morning

The tank directly below toilet is black.

If they are two different sizes the larger is black water. Every trailer I have had, was made that way.

The same is with my trailer and also the black tank pipe is larger.

The dump valve controlling the 3 inch pipe is the black tank. The dump valve controlling the 1.5 inch pipe is the gray tank. Doesn't matter where they are under the trailer, but the black will be directly under the toilet. As for dumping, black first, and then gray to wash the hose out.

Well is it the front handle or the back handle as our trailer has a heated under carriage and is totally covered you can not see any of the plumbing and the shut offs are right beside each other

If the tanks have not been used you could test them by opening a valve and having someone flush the toilet. Suggest you swing by your dealer or Camping World or RV store and pick up a clear elbow for the dump valve.

Just looked at your floorplan and I would guess the valve towards the hitch is your blacktank, just a guess tho. Maybe some of the other 292bhs owners will let you know. Like another post mentioned, put a little water in one of the tanks and pull a valve open to determine which is which.

I guess if all else fails, and you have used the toilets and sinks.......

Go to a dump station, hook up your hose, and start with one valve, then close and go to the next.....between the two smells during draining.....you will have your answer

Our lacrosse has the grey lever towards the hitch end. black toward the back. I dont think mine are labeled but the lever itself has a gray color insert in the t-handle to show its gray water
