Will PEX tubing survive if water freezes in it? I would think that it should. Now, I'm guessing that the (cheap cpvc-looking) plastic elbows and valves that they use with it probably would not... but the tubing itself should... not?

Same here. We've got our last camp planned for this weekend, and then I'll do the full winterize for the winter storage afterward.

Did I mention that I don't care much for winter?

No room for a couple feet of hose and 2 valves?

Wow, ok.

Be careful of the filter canister !!!
I lost 2 + one unit it screws to,,, I no longer put it back in tight,,,
I did buy a bypass plate to use when winterizing,,, saves a lot of antifreeze !!!
Rubber part of the bypass plate should be a little bigger,,, but after it leaked the first time I remove it & reinstalled it,,, no leak !!!
I never did find out where the water came from that caused them to break ????????
Best if you can just leave them uninstalled after winterizing !!!

Lower cabinet doors open (where water lines are) and pump and water heater access panels removed. Faucets and low point drains are open and pump is off.

I think I should be OK. Fingers crossed! I will certainly let everyone know if I have a problem when we make camp.

I purged the supply line going from the FW tank to the pump by opening the antifreeze pickup valve and taking a blow gun, and putting air to the antifreeze pickup line. That should have purged that line, and I think there was also air going through the pump as well, I could see air flowing through the supply line screen filter that is attached to the pump.
Now that's amazing!

That was, in fact, sufficient. We are now on our last outing of the season. Beautiful Fall weather is foretasted for the rest of the week.
